I always love working with the IPA WA Division because they make me feel so welcome. The SMSF Symposium was held at the beautifully refurbished Melbourne Hotel. I spent the day with 20 enthusiastic delegates and we had great fun exploring the ins and outs of SMSF law. I must thank Jessica Smyth for her hard work in setting up the Symposium and for doing such a great job in marketing the event.
I received another warm welcome from IPA delegates at the Sydney office. It was nice to see many familiar faces in the group as well as seeing new ones. I was very impressed with the level of knowledge in the group as we explored the laws and regulations which govern SMSFs in greater depth. The case studies were very well received. Many thanks to Shannon Wilkie and Stella Perez for arranging the seminar and looking after me so well once again.
I had an amazing time in beautiful Noosa, Queensland, presenting at the SMSF Retreat. The weather was fantastic (it was so nice to have a break from Perth’s winter) and the IPA delegates were an enthusiastic and highly engaged group. It was a special privilege to have my good friend Noel Whittaker come and share his knowledge with us. Many thanks to Liz Verrall for her hard work in putting the Retreat together.
